Hands-on work
Trades, equipment, systems, maintenance, and making things work.
A few things I've worked on, a few things I've learned, and a place for ideas that haven't quite found a home yet.
A shadow will do.
This is the interesting part. Small tools, questionable experiments, software ideas, and maybe a video game or two. Nothing has to be finished to belong here.
I tend to follow interesting problems. The categories don't always fit neatly together.
Trades, equipment, systems, maintenance, and making things work.
Projects, planning, and learning from people doing important work in their own places.
Small businesses, software, creative projects, and the occasional rabbit hole.
I've spent a good part of my life working with my hands, figuring out how things work, and occasionally trying to make them work a little better. Along the way, that's meant time in the trades, small businesses, energy, technology, and a variety of projects involving people and communities.
I've had the chance to work alongside some interesting people, visit some remarkable places, and learn a few things I didn't know I needed to learn. Outside of work there's usually a camera, the ocean, some traveling, or another idea that needs tinkering.
There's no grand plan for this website. It's just somewhere to put a few things together. The lab is probably where you'll find the good stuff.
